Recently, I had the opertunity to interview the epic Sneeze7! Why is he epic? Just check out his Planet Minecraft page! Anyway, Here is the interview!
MGB: How did you first find out about PMC?
Sneeze: Well first it was just me looking for a skin, so i googled “Thor” and some crappy skins came up here xD But then a few months later, when i had started making skins, i needed somewhere to uploadmy skins and so i googled “Upload Skins” and PMC was the first and best match
MGB: So, do you really play Minecraft all that much?
Sneeze: Yes i do. Infact, i just started on a new server, Notoriouscraft (if you want to add that lol) Its the first server im ever dedicated to and ive become friends with the owner and stuff because i told them i was famous on PMC xD But singleplayer is mostly to randomly try to build a house or look at the new Snapshots.
MGB: You mentioned that you started making skins, what made you decide to start making them?
Sneeze: When i started Minecraft i didnt really play Multiplayer so i had no idea what a skin was until my friends were talking on skype on what skin they wore and i asked them what it was and i immediately got interested. So my first act was to download an app on my iPad which was really stinky for making skins but it worked for my cerativity. I started because i wanted a personal skin that i could use all the time.
MGB: What made you decide to go public with your skins?
Sneeze: When they started to be halfly good, Well, thats what i thought anyways lol. When I added a 3D helmet to my thor skin, I thought it became EPIC! (Though it didnt) So i wanted to share them and then the googling happened
MGB: What programs do you mainly use now? (To make your skins)
Sneeze: Before it was making a skin in SkinEdit and shading in Gimp but now I just started using McSkin3D by Paril. Its an awesome program but i wasnt really fond of it until i was forced to use it because my jar system stopped working so i couldnt use SkinEdit. If i need to edit some shading fast, I usually use Gimp. Shading happens in McSkin3D now.
MGB: What advice could you give to any hopeful skinners?
Sneeze: Well dont be afraid to listen to feedback. I had trouble with that since im so stubborn. When a guy told me my shading sucked, i got all mad and starting defending myself but after half an hour into the discussion, I realized he was right. For some it might be hard to find feedback, so dont be afraid to ask for feedback from someone experienced and active and im sure they’ll tell you something good and something bad. And really TRY to execute the feedback, I hate it when i give feedback to people and they dont use it at all on their skins after. Try what they said, you cant become any worse
MGB: OK, here’s the final question! If you had any superpower, what would it be?
Sneeze: The ability to be invisible. I know its cheesy but its the best. If i want to stay at the candy store all the night, i can just get invisible and stand there during closing time, what more could be better?
OK, that concludes the interview! A LOT OF THANKS TO SNEEZE!
